Almost 40 years in media, and I'm still loving every minute of it. That's either passion or stubbornness, I'll let you decide.
I've done radio, TV, social media, PR, media relations, and more community projects than I can list without checking my notes, almost all of it right here in Edmonton, my home turf!
Basically, if there was a microphone or a camera nearby, I was probably standing next to it.
Sports and News on Radio and TV kept me busy for decades. But lately I've fallen hard for podcasting, and it's exploding in Canada right now, so I'm happy to be part of the noise.
I still take on freelance broadcasting work too, because apparently old habits die hard and I don't know how to sit still.
What's the Goal?
I'm a freelance voice.
But really, I'm about empowering other voices, whether that's individuals, non-profits, or businesses, through the reach of traditional and modern digital media.
Every project gets professionalism, a stupid amount of positive energy, a big smile, strong leadership, a genuine love of teamwork, and a sense of humour that shows up whether I invite it or not, all delivered in a comfortable, down-to-earth way, because that's just how I roll.
Podcasting
Podcasting is hot right now, and it's only getting hotter. Plenty of people have great stories and ideas, but a lot of them get stuck on the how, recording, editing, producing, actually getting the thing out into the world. That's where I come in!
Whether it's in my studio or done remotely, audio or video, whatever suits you best, I've got you covered. Come in with your ideas, record with me, then walk out and put your feet up.
I'll even host it for you or with you if you'd like a familiar voice in the mix. Editing? Done. Publishing? Handled. Your only job is showing up with something exciting and passionate to say!
Radio
I've hosted Jets, Flames, and Oilers NHL radio broadcasts over the years, and I've run talk and sports shows on 880 CHED, Edmonton's top news and talk station. My whole career comes down to a couple of basics, a unique sense of curiosity and genuine conversation.
Every interview, sports or news, feels like a coffee catch-up with a few thousand extra people listening in. I ask questions because I actually want to know, not because a script told me to, and my goal is always to pull listeners right into the moment. It's not broadcasting, it's connecting.
Video
My broadcasting journey began in radio before it naturally grew into video production. I've loved bringing my hosting and interviewing background to on-camera work, guided along the way by many industry mentors, including CBC Edmonton, CTV Edmonton, and Road 55. Everything I learned in radio carried over into the visual side of things, just with a little more makeup involved.

Radio, television, podcasting, I love them all. But nothing compares to a live stage and a room full of real people.
I've hosted major events, emceed everything from galas to community celebrations to golf tournaments, and shared plenty of my own stories along the way. There's a certain magic in reading a room live, adjusting on the fly, and feeding off real reactions instead of imagining an audience on the other side of a microphone. Honestly, I love emceeing events, there's nothing quite like it.
Also something new for me lately has been speaking to groups about my own successful battle with cancer. It's not something I ever expected to be part of my story, but sharing it, and talking about the importance of staying positive through the fight, has become one of the most rewarding things I do.

Never lose your sense of humour... I haven't.
I’m living proof that you can face enormous challenges and still come out stronger. In 2017, I lost my right kidney to cancer. In 2020, I had my entire stomach removed after a large tumour was found. And both times—I won.
I credit incredible doctors, nurses, hospital staff, plus my amazing family and friends, for helping me through.
